So I was reading Robert Scoble’s post about Zoomr and I came across a comment by Ben Metcalfe. I had to let out a muffled laugh, but not because Metcalfe’s comment was particularly funny. I haven’t been able to take anything Metcalfe says seriously ever since his entertaining confrontation with Mena Trott a few years ago.

I wonder if the USPS postage rate for a first class letter would be lower if there were no internet and cellular phones. More people would have to rely on snail mail for correspondence. That way, the postage rate wouldn’t have to be increased often, since the USPS would be making ton of money. Then again, the postage rate would go up to decrease demand or extract more from customers for the service.
Life without Google? I probably could get by without using Gmail, Google News, and Google Blog Search. However, I need Google Search and Google Reader.
