The great quote of the day comes from Andrew Morton, on Microsoft: “The problems of having your balls in someone else’s sling are just enormous.”
If you choose to use a centralized service, then you should accept the inherent weakness of centralized services.
Very ingenious ploy to boost the number of searches you have there, Microsoft. I imagine it’s a lot cheaper than paying people to use your search.

I’ll never understand how elite athletes are willing to risk everything they have by doing something stupid.
Kiyoshi Takenaka quite nicely sums up why the Nintendo Wii is dominating Microsoft’s Xbox 360 and Sony’s PS3, “Instead of offering lifelike graphics and fast action to appeal to hard-core gamers, who are mostly young men, Nintendo has wooed a wider audience including game novices, women and the elderly with innovative but easy-to-play titles.”
